Luis Ariel Rivera, a professional genealogist specializing in Puerto Rican and Caribbean family history and creator of the genealogy blog BoricuaGenes, will share insights from his blog post, “Revisiting a Consanguineous Marriage.” His presentation examines an 1860 marriage in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, and explores the genealogical implications of consanguinity in Puerto Rican families.
